Kiboko Bushcamp

 

The Kiboko-Bush camp is a luxury tented accommodation situated next to the Lake Manyara National Park famous for it's tree climbing lions, elephants (As described in Ian Douglas Hamilton's book Amongst the Elephants), hippo pool and birds. It is specially designed for the needs of nature enthusiasts. Its situation allows itself to be a very convenient stopover for both starting and finishing safaris for the Northern Circuit Parks. which include Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro crater, Serengeti, Lake Natron and Lake Eyasi.

The camp blends into its natural surroundings to enable visitors to feel themselves part of the wild. It's also the best starting point for Mto wa Mbu* cultural tourism treks along the Great Rift Valley and the ground water forest**. The camp is situated under the Accavua trees with very long views over the Lake Manyara.
* Mto wa Mbu translation, that is a Swahili name that River of mosquito the time when people come to this area they sow that river with a lot of mosquito. This was way back more than 100 years ago. Now the river is no longer mosquito and there are so many people who are leaving there…its estimated to be more than 120 tribes located this area.
**The ground water forest means that to this area if you drill down to the earth more that 10 meters you will fund water. This area there are forest which grows especially where the ground water is not far. This species of trees include acacia etc or (Migunga trees)
